Prepare your competition routine

An exercise to organise what you want to do before competing.

Reflection exercise · 5-10 minutes

1. Choose what you can control

Write down two or three parts of the process you can work on: preparing your equipment, following the agreed warm-up or remembering a cue from training.

2. Write a short sequence

Put these steps in the order you will follow them. Keep the routine simple and compatible with your team's preparation.

3. Try it and adapt it

After competing, review what you did and what helped you. Adjust the sequence for next time.

You can do this exercise with pen and paper. Adapt it to your circumstances and keep your answers to review later.
